Today's bluetooth enabled communication devices such as your PC, laptop computer, mobile telephone, PDA and other devices are equipped with OBEX or OBject EXchange, a protocol originally designed for swapping and transporting objects between devices. OBEX functions in a similar way to http, allowing you to connect to a server. Originally, OBEX was used for infrared connections, but today it is run on most TCP/IP and bluetooth devices enabling you to transfer files between them. OBEX Commander will help you to manage your files and folders and transfer them from your phone to your PC, or to and from any other OBEX devices you may want to connect to.
The OBEX Commander program supports the files transfer from infrared, the Microsoft bluetooth stack for Windows XP SP2 and Vista platforms, the Widcomm/Broadcom bluetooth stack (version 1.3 or later) and the IVT Blue Soleil bluetooth stack. The program also supports data cables for Motorola, Siemens, Sony Ericsson and Nokia mobile phones. You can transfer any kind of file formats between your devices, such as images, video files, even applications, and it is easy to do with the OBEX Commander's user friendly Windows style interface. |
